Gemare Falzarano fell in love with images and visual communication when she discovered her father’s sketchbook as a child and immediately copied it onto whatever scraps of paper she could find. She’s been hooked ever since. Her preferred language is still visual. She can, however, do business with you in two others.
After earning a Masters in Communication Design from Pratt Institute she honed her skills on collateral for Wells Fargo in San Francisco. She then returned to New York and started her own design company. There, in addition to her work as founder, principal, head designer, creative force, and cat wrangler she focused on 360° campaigns and branding initiatives.
She has produced work for numerous Fortune 500 companies including Visa, Mass Mutual, Erie Insurance, Pfizer, Merck, Eli Lilly, Exxon Mobil, Verizon, Proctor & Gamble, Comcast, Lowe’s, Disney, and Berkshire Hathaway. Along the way she has earned the DTC Perspectives: Best Multi-Cultural Campaign – Gold and the YouTheDesigner: Most Beautiful Letterhead awards, among other industry accolades.
In her free time Gemare photographs (mostly nature, but also her nephews, her cat, and her husband), paints, draws, cycles, hikes, sculpts, travels, scours the Internet and magazines for design inspiration, and very much enjoys cervezas en la playa.
